So, the reason I didn't update yesterday (Monday), is because I am reluctantly an American, and thus it was Fourth of July. I was going to work on the page, but I was spending the day at my boyfriend's house, so I decided against working on it yesterday. It was a holiday, ya know?
So then, I WAS gonna work on it and post it today (Tuesday), but, well, here's where it gets a little bit sad.

So, I have this friend, who has kind of a bad home situation. Her mom is cool, and her younger sister is pretty okay. Her younger brother is a druggie delinquent, but whatever. The issue is her dad. Her dad is, quite frankly, abusive.
He's mainly verbally and emotionally abusive (it's actually kind of interesting to see how each of the children copes with his abuse. Druggie brother, artistic sisters, and my friend being fairly socially awkward), but he's also been physically abusive in the past.
This morning I was just getting ready to work on the next page of Dear Mom, when I suddenly got a facebook message from my friend. She said that her dad was being really aggressive today, and she wanted to get out of the house. So, I made the decision that, obviously, my friend's safety and comfort was more important than Dear Mom.
We went to breakfast, then a pet store, and the plaza near our houses. We saw the BFG (btw, as a Roald Dahl fan, fantastically done! Bravo, Spielberg. Bravo.), and I didn't get home until nearly 8 my time (Pacific time. I live in Southern California

) She's okay now, of course. But obviously you guys will agree that my friend not being in an abusive situation is really important. The second that she messaged me, I dropped everything and got ready to go. She needed me, and I know you guys will understand that. You guys are awesome

Also, I will not be able to post next week either, but there's usually a break between the gym battle and the part before it ;D
I can't post next week, though, because I'm going on a vacation to Hawaii

And, uh, the next week I WILL post, but I'm not sure when.
I got a job! So the update schedule will probably end up changing a bit from "Every Monday" to "Hopefully once a week." I hope you guys understand.
I mean, I know you guys will understand. You are all awesome, as I said earlier.
