Dear Mom 12

After a week of hiatus (to get ahead both in game and in drawing), Dear Mom comes back right on time! Alex is such a cutie pie.
I imagine that he doesn't use Pookie very much because she's a bit more of a pet than a battle-mon. I imagine him cuddling with her at night.
And now I feel the intense need to draw that because OH MY GOD IT'S THE CUTEST DAMN THOUGHT EVER.

Bill's Eevee, Benny, is a baby. That's why he doesn't have neck fluff yet. He may or may not return later on eue as...you know....Alex's Eevee. (mostly because I like the name "Benny" for an Eevee!)
I wanted Bill to be like a gijinka of an Eevee. So his hair is messy and he wears Eevee colours. After all, Eevee is his favourite Pokemon (that's an in-game canon, not just Dear Mom!) I used Benny as the Pokemon he accidentally fused with because it would make more sense for him to accidentally fuse with his favourite Pokemon, which he would have around the house, than a...Clefairy. Like, really. Besides, this is a Gen I game, so what he fuses with is absolutely not clear. eue

I decided to evolve Sandy and Zuzu before Misty because, even though they'd be a bit overlevelled, I wanted to show Zuzu. Although he'll get some screen time in the update AFTER Misty. (and then he gets retired forever after Surge *sob*)

So Dear Mom is officially back on it's regular schedule. Which means (since the next update proper is Misty) that Wednesday is another "Alex's Art," and Misty will be on Friday.

Timeline: This page takes place about 22 days after Alex left on his adventure. 
At this rate, I'm expecting his journey to be about a year long (in-comic. I don't THINK it will take me that long) 
A good rule of thumb for most pages is to double the update number for how many days it's been. Alex tries to write a letter every day, but as time goes on, it's getting closer to every other day. Poor Mom.
